12 Week Year Update: Week 7

Earlier this summer I joined a cohort that follows the 12 Week Year template. It’s a simple concept of shifting from an annual goal setting mindset to a 12 week one.

It’s really a combination of connecting to your vision, taking consistent action and keeping track of your results along the way.

Think progress, not perfection.

My vision is to build a sustainable lifestyle where I can enjoy life right now and create positive change within media, technology and culture. I will definitely be expanding on this.

I’m that person who wants to do everything, all a once. The multi-passionate struggle bus.

Though I’ve discovered there are many ways to create without burning out. What’s helped me so far has been the pacing.

Taking each day as it comes.

Rather than getting caught up in the endless possibilities, I can focus on a few key changes. With other goal setting structures I’ve used, it felt restricting to decide between this or that goal.

However, I can recommit to the same goal or create progress in another life area once the quarter is over.

For my first time around, I’m choosing to focus on my health and finances. These are some of the core pillars of how I’d like to create sustainability for my life.

So far I started today with a 30 min bike ride (one of my goals) and looking forward to connecting with small business owners to offer my 1k headshot business package.
